15 Must Try Places to Eat in Europe
Europe is filled with a rich history, vibrant cultures and some of the best cuisines in the world! This continent is the ultimate foodie paradise! When traveling one of the most important aspects of your trip that everyone thinks about is “What should I eat?” well we have some suggestions on places you must definitely try if you get to travel to Europe. These restaurants blew our minds with not only their food but also their excellent service. Here are some restaurants we highly recommend all over Europe if you get the chance to visit some of these places
1. Paris, France
Ah, Paris known for its amazing culture and architecture. As previously stated in our blog “The Ultimate Three Day Paris Itinerary!”, this city is jam pack full of great attractions, monuments, and sightseeing. On top of that, this city also has some amazing restaurants to try. One restaurant we fell in love with and tried multiple times was La Maison, located around the Ternes area in Paris. This restaurant has is the perfect place to try your local cuisines, while having an authentic Parisian experience. Two of our favorite dishes that we had was their Veal stew served with rice, and their duck fillet served with potato gratin. Both these dishes are to die for and highly recommend them if you are in the area.
2. Paris. France
Ladurée Paris Champs Elysées
Paris home of the world famous macarons. This French pastry consistent of a jelly-like filling that is being sandwiched together between two melt in your mouth cookies! This sweet dessert is to die for. At Ladurée you will be able to try these magnificent pastries in a variety of flavors. Although macrons are popular in Paris, Ladurée provides one of the best macarons you will ever taste.
3. Paris France
This unique café offers a unique spin on the quintessential Parisian food, the crepe. One of the most famous foods to try while staying in Paris is the crepe. This thin like-pancake is filled with either sweet or savory filling inside, providing your taste buds with a delicious light meal. So spend a lunch indulging in some sweet or savory crepes!
4. Barcelona, Spain
Barcelona, one of the world’s most popular travel destination. This city has many things to offer as stated in our blog “A Barcelona Bucket List!”. One of Spain’s most famous dishes is Paella, if not prepared correctly you will not be able to truly taste its magnificent flavors. Which is why we recommend going to try Paella at Gaudim Restaurant. One of Barcelona’s best restaurants to dine in, this restaurant not only provides excellent service, but also some of the best Paella you will ever have. Try their amazing seafood Paella as well as their sangria to complete your magnificent dinner.
5. Palma de Mallorca, Spain
Restaurante la Parada del Mar
Want to eat some fresh seafood? Look no further. At Restaurante la Parada del Mar you will get that opportunity. This restaurant will provide you with the unique experience of choosing your seafood ahead of time as if you were at a fish market, You even get to choose how much you want to eat, so you can order 2 shrimp or 20! Once you have picked out the fish and the amount, it will be delivered to the kitchen to be prepared. Once it has been cooked to perfection it will be served to your table ready to be eaten. This restaurant is truly a unique dining experience!
6. Palma de Mallorca, Spain
Restaurante La Greppia
Although you are traveling through Spain, there may be sometimes where you will be craving some food you are usually familiar with. With us, on our trip, we had so many great experiences with eating Tapas and Paella we wanted to try something different. During our time in Palma, we were able to discover an excellent Italian restaurant that served amazing pasta and mouthwatering desserts. To our surprise, this Restaurnte La Greppia was rather new and we were one of their first customers to eat at their restaurant. Their food and service were magnificent and their Panna Cotta dessert was out of this world. If you are ever in Palma and are craving Italian food visit Restaurante La Greppia to fill your desire.
7. Cinque Terre, Manarola, Italy
Trattoria dal Billy
Talk about eating with a view. At Trattoria dal Billy you will definitely get that experience. This restaurant, you will be able to enjoy the view as well as their spectacular Italian food. At Trattoria dal Billy we were able to enjoy an amazing pasta and crab dish that was way too big the for the two of us. Not only was the pasta freshly made, Their portions were more than generous, and we left the restaurant barely being able to walk up the stairs. At the end of the day Trattoria dal Billy is the perfect place to sit down and have a nice relaxing dinner as you watch the sunset. Be sure to remember to make your reservations in advance as they fill up quickly.
8. Rome, Italy
Italy is the home of pizza, pasta, and cannoli’s! Being the capital of Italy, Rome will have many restaurants that can offer you some of the freshest and most delicious pasta you will ever have. The restaurant we went to Pizzeria Pasquino, which was just off of Piazza Navona. This quintessential Italian restaurant had some of the best pasta we had ever eaten. This restaurant provided us with freshly made pasta and an unforgettable service.
9. Rome, Italy
Gelateria Della Palma
How can you visit Rome and not eat gelato? This Italian dessert will cool you down and make you craving for more. What can be a better way to experience gelato then to have a variety of flavors for you to choose from. At Gelateria Della Palma you will have that option. With 150 different flavors of gelato, you will get to choose any combination you desire. This store is the perfect place for you to experience Gelato for the first time or for the 150th time!
10. Venice, Italy

Venice is a city known for its wandering canals and hundreds of bridges. This island not only has amazing tourist attractions at stated in our blog “15 Things to do in Venice!”, but it also has some amazing gastronomy. One of the restaurants that we found was a little off the beaten path but was well worth the adventure. Collo Modi is filled with locals just have a spritz on the patio watching the tourist walk by. While in Venice it’s best you skip out on the Italian pizza, and instead indulge in the fresh seafood pasta! This restaurant has the best Spaghetti Alle Vongole (calm pasta) we have ever tasted.
11. Munich, Germany
Biergarten am Wiener Platz
When visiting the Bavarian religion of Germany one of the things you must try are their beer gardens. These beer gardens are an outdoor park where locals gather on picnic benches to have a beer. This is the perfect place for you and some friends to sit back relax and enjoy each other’s company while having some delicious German food. The beer garden we got to experience while in Munich was Hofbräukeller am Wiener Platz. This place had some of the best bratwurst, pretzels and gigantic beers in Germany!
12. London, England
Peggy Porchen is the cutest bakery in the entire world! I’m sure you have seen this café all around Instagram since it’s one of the most instagrammable cafes in the world. This place is absolutely adorable but what you should also know is their cupcakes are to die for! They are so rich and filled with delicious icing. I highly recommend you wander to this bakery while staying in London.
13. London, England
Fish! Borough Market
Can you even travel to London and not eat fish and chips? Honestly while visiting London I swear I ate fish and chips for breakfast lunch and dinner! It was honestly my favorite meals while I was there. Nonetheless out of all the fish and chips I ate this place had the best beer batter fried cod! Plus the atmosphere of Borough Market in incredible, it’s a total foodie paradise. I actually cannot wait to go back to London and have this meal again!
14. London England
Goddards at Greenwich
This family-run business since 1890 is famous around London for their pie mash. This traditional British meal has a long history in London so when you are in the London area it’s essential you try it at Goddards at Greenwich. Also while you are there finish off your meal with some sponge puddings!
15. Porto Portugal
Porto is a city filled with a rich culture, charming old buildings, and delicious Bacalhau. Bacalhau is Portuguese for Cod and is a staple dish in Portugal. I know that salted fried cod is served on nearly every menu in Portugal, however, one of the best meals I tried was at Bicoq.We tried two delicious cod influenced meals and they were honestly amazing. So while you are in Porto you must try this traditional dish!
